2021.1.26 Site tour of fatigue cracks occured on the steel slab

With the cooperation of Hanshin Expressway Co., Ltd., we observed the fatigue cracks that occurred in the steel slab in service. This year, in structural mechanics lab., a lecture on fatigue of steel structures was held by visiting professor Takeshi Mori of Hosei University, and this site tour was held as part of this. Inside the box girder in service, we had a demonstration of magnetic particle flaw detection test and ultrasonic flaw detection test, and observed fatigue cracks. It was a valuable experience for us to feel the connection between the contents of the lecture and the actual structure.

2020.9.12-13 球磨川沿岸橋梁視察

先生と博士後期課程の学生が、令和2年7月豪雨により被災した熊本県球磨川沿岸の橋梁を視察しました。
鋼桁やトラスといった橋梁の上部構造が流出しており、自然災害の恐ろしさを間近に感じることができました。 我々は、このような自然の脅威から人々を守ることができる技術者・研究者を目指していきます。

2020.6.9 修士論文着手検討会

大阪市立大学、神戸大学、名古屋工業大学と合同で修論着手検討会を開催しました。
例年は、いずれかの大学での開催でしたが、昨今の事情により今年度はオンラインでの開催となりました。 M2の皆さんがこれまでの成果や今後の研究計画を発表し、企業から参加いただいた審査員の皆様と討議を行いました。 頂いた意見を参考にしながら、研究をよりよい形に仕上げていきましょう。
